I’m Zephaniah Brooks. I started Brooks Operations to do stump grinding and debris work the way it should be done — quoted honestly, scheduled when promised, and cleaned up after. Right now that’s usually me on site. As the business grows, anyone I bring on is trained to that same standard before they run a job on their own — so you always get one company that stands behind the work.

Common questions
Do I need to call 811 before you grind?+
Yes. Underground utilities have to be located and marked before any grinding. We'll remind you when you book, and we won't start until the yard is marked. We're not responsible for unmarked private lines, irrigation, or invisible-fence wire.
What can't you haul?+
Hazardous material — chemicals, fuels, asbestos, paint, biohazard. Just about everything else is fair game: furniture, appliances, yard and tree debris, construction scrap, general clutter.
Do I have to make an account?+
No. Book your estimate first — we only ask for your name, email, phone and address. At the end you're offered a password if you want an account; skip it and your booking goes through exactly the same. You'll still get your quote and e-sign your agreement from a private link we send you.
How does payment work?+
You pay after the job is done and you've looked it over. Pay by card right in your account, or by cash or check. Bigger jobs may ask for payment up front to lock the date; you'll know that before you sign anything.
How soon can you get out here?+
Estimates usually happen within a couple of days. Most jobs are scheduled within a week of you approving the quote.
Do you haul away the grindings?+
Your choice. We can rake the grindings back into the hole (they settle over time) or haul them off for an added fee. We'll price both at the estimate.
